Moors Valley junior parkrun

Sunday 14th June 2026

What a glorious morning for Moors Valley junior parkrun #406, with bright sunshine greeting everyone as we came together for a very special weekend celebrating parkrun's millionth event worldwide.

We welcomed 173 runners and walkers to the course, supported by an amazing team of 34 volunteers. Thank you to every volunteer who gave up their time to make the event possible.

This week's statistics included:
173 finishers
34 volunteers
52 personal bests
19 first timers to Moors Valley junior parkrun
13 taking part in their very first junior parkrun
12 unknown runners

Congratulations to everyone who achieved a PB and a warm welcome to all our first-time visitors and brand-new parkrunners.

This week also marked Jasmine's final event as Run Director before she heads off for a busy and exciting summer helping at Camp America, followed by the start of her university adventure in September.

Jasmine first joined us in 2019 as a runner before becoming a volunteer. She later completed her DofE volunteering with us and, as soon as she turned 18 last year, joined the core team as a Run Director.

Jasmine has been a valued member of the Moors Valley junior parkrun family for many years, and we would like to thank her for all the enthusiasm, commitment and support she has given to our event. We wish her every success for the future and trust that we'll still see her helping out whenever she's home from university.

Event #406 – 7 June 2026
Another fabulous morning at Moors Valley junior parkrun for Event #406!
A brilliant 167 young runners crossed the finish line this week, supported by an amazing team of 30 volunteers who made the event possible.

This week's field included:
92 male runners
68 female runners
7 runners recorded as unknown 😢 (Don't forget your barcodes)

We were delighted to welcome 15 first timers to our event. We hope you enjoyed your run and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Congratulations to the 42 runners who achieved new Personal Bests this week – a fantastic achievement!

Would you like to be part of the 1 millionth parkrun event weekend?!

This Sunday we are looking for volunteers to help put our event on. Could you please help out?

We are looking for
> 4 marshals to cheer our juniors through the forest,
> 1 tailwalker to make sure everyone stays on track,
> 3 barcode scanners to get all the results recorded,
> 2x (or more) token sorters to check and order ready for next week's event,
> 1x warm-up crew to get us all moving before we begin.

When tokens sorting after yesterdays busy event, we discovered tokens 135 and 137 were missing.

Please could you check your (and your responsible adults) pockets to see if they were accidentally taken home, and if found please let us know so we can arrange for their safe return
Token 136 is particularly upset😀

Moors Valley Junior Parkrun – Event 405

What a perfect way to round off half term!
A lovely sunny morning greeted our 268 finishers and 35 dedicated volunteers at Moors Valley for event 405.

It was a fantastic morning for personal bests, with 35 runners achieving a new PB. We also welcomed 23 first timers, 16 of whom were experiencing their very first junior parkrun – we hope you loved it and we'll see you again soon!

What a glorious warm sunny morning for Moors Valley junior parkrun Event 404. It was fantastic to see so many of you with us despite the traffic challenges getting into the park.

A big thank you to Imogen for leading another fabulous warm-up and getting everyone ready to go before heading to the start line.

This week we welcomed 167 finishers, with an amazing 58 personal bests — congratulations to everyone who earned a PB today!

We were delighted to welcome 17 first timers to Moors Valley, including 10 children taking part in their very first junior parkrun.
A huge welcome to Phoebe, Georgia Rose, Siren, Harrison, Felicity, Carter, Clara, Florence, Jax and Violet — we hope you loved it and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We also recorded 10 unknown runners. Don’t forget to bring your barcode next time so we can give you a result!
