🎂🎈It’s the Library’s birthday tomorrow, twice over! 🎈🎂

The building was opened by the Earl of Scarbrough on 7 October 1908, but didn’t become a Library until 1996, when it was formally opened on 7 October.

A book club with a difference. The meeting is very informal, with no set book or discussion. Simply come along with a book of your choosing, enjoy a slice of delicious cake with tea or coffee, or even a glass of w**e and spend some time reading peacefully in the company of fellow book lovers. A relaxing evening is guaranteed.

🫖☕️MacMillan Coffee Morning 🍰🧁

Thank you to everyone who came to the MacMillan Coffee Morning in the Library on Friday, baked cakes, made teas & coffees, washed up, tidied up and everyone over the past year who has purchased a book from the Library’s book sale.

Together we have raised the amazing sum of £497.75 to donate to MacMillan.
