✨ Main Street Steam Clean and Treatment – Thank You! ✨

🧼 A huge thank you to everyone involved in yesterday’s Main Street steam clean, which started at 7am and took over 5 hours to complete.

✨ The granite pavements were cleaned and treated to remove algae and weeds from Pengenna up to the bus shelter by the TVC, along with shop fronts at the lower end of the village. This is the first time the pavement surfaces have been deep cleaned and treated since completion of the Main Street Regeneration scheme over 20 years ago.

👏 Special thanks to John Clark and the Biffa Bude Depot Zone 1 Street Cleaning Team for their incredible support and partnership working, along with Mark from the team who also assisted throughout the morning. Mark is normally seen driving the Street Sweeper through the village so please give him a wave as a thank you!

☕ Thank you as well to Justin Edwards at Cornish Bakery, Pete Townsend at Mayfair Gifts, (teas and coffees), Paul Callcut at The Crossbow (great baps) and King Arthur’s Arms for kindly offering refreshments.

🚜 We’re also very grateful to Wayne and Tawn Dangar for allowing access to their water supply at Gavercombe Farm. Thank you. Wayne changed the filter to give us the best water quality……just like his spuds and caulis!!

👥 Also a thank you to the Councillors who helped make this happen and assisted Biffa with the clean - Martyn, Marcus, Jeremy, and Rob. Jeremy and Trigger (only fools and horses) have a lot in common when it comes to brooms….he needs another new handle and used the same broom for 20 years!!

📧 If you would like to get involved in helping keep the Parish clean and tidy, please email the Clerk at [email protected]

⭐ A fantastic community effort! Thank you everyone for helping keep Tintagel looking its best. 👏

⚠️ Main Street Cleaning – Tomorrow from 7am – please keep pavements and streets clear ⚠️

Biffa have very kindly agreed to steam clean the granite paving along the Main Street tomorrow morning from 7am. We apologise for the short notice and appreciate your cooperation.

‼️To help the work take place safely and smoothly, please avoid parking on the roadside where possible and hold off putting out signs, benches, or goods near the paving areas until the cleaning is complete.‼️

There may be some noise while the cleaning takes place.

Councillors will be on hand to help manage pedestrians and traffic safely, so please feel free to approach them if needed.

⭐ Thank you for your support while we help keep Tintagel looking its best ⭐

Also, a huge thank you to Cllr Hugh and Dailen for their fantastic tidy up at Bossiney Toilets. What a difference they’ve made! See the before and after photo 👏

And finally, a photo of one of our helpers at the TVC… 🐶 Plus a continued thank you to all of our brilliant volunteers for everything you do! ⭐

If you wish to help out, please email the Clerk 📧 [email protected]

⭐ A big thank you ⭐

Thank you to Cllr Jeremy Knight and his son Corey (pictured) for their hard work tidying and de-weeding the area around the Tintagel sign on Bossiney Road. It’s looking lovely and makes a great first impression for everyone arriving in the village 🌿

Also, a huge thank you to Jungle in a Box, Di and Lindsey, who volunteer their time and supply the beautiful flower beds in Trevenna Square. It looks fantastic, and your efforts are very much appreciated by the parish 🌸

If you’re interested in volunteering to help care for an area of the Parish, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you ✨

🌟 A big thank you to Carl 🌟

As many of you will know, Carl, who has been keeping our village clean and cared for, is retiring today.

Carl has always gone above and beyond, and his presence around Tintagel will truly be missed.

Today, thanks to the generosity of our local shops and community, the village presented him with a card and a collection to say thank you for all his hard work over the years.

Wishing you a very happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement Carl. You have made a real difference 🤩

Thank you!

Reported invasive/poisonous plant at Badgers Bridge (as you walk down the hill from Trevenna Square) ⚠️

Thank you to parishioners who reported this 🙏

We have notified the County Council and are awaiting guidance to formally identify the plant and advise on next steps.

In the meantime, we kindly ask residents to avoid disturbing the area 🚫

Thank you for your cooperation.
