Exe Valley Rotary are supporting Delia Kennedy in her latest fundraising adventure walking 100 miles in aid of Shelterbox and their emergency appeal for the people of Myanmar.

As in the past Delia will be accompanied by TTT - a small adventurous Teddy Bear.

Please support Delia by donating at https://shelterbox.org

Thousands of families have lost their homes after two powerful earthquakes ravaged Myanmar and Northern Thailand.

The humanitarian need is staggering. Over 1,000 people have already lost their lives, with tens of thousands forced from their homes.

Buildings have been damaged and destroyed, and people are terrified of aftershocks. Emergency shelter is urgently needed to protect those trying to recover from these devastating earthquakes.

With support, Shelterbox can reach earthquake survivors and make sure they receive the essential shelter aid that they desperately need to protect them from the elements.

Shelterbox emergency response team are in the region to assess which communities are most in need and what essential aid items your support can provide. Items like tents and shelter kits can keep families together and safe from exposure. Water filters will ensure survivors have safe, clean water to drink and cook with. Cooking sets enable families to have a warm meal together.

£27 could buy a cooking set enabling families to have a warm meal together.

£60 could provide a water filter so people have safe, clean water to drink and cook with.

£200 could supply a bespoke earthquake kit, providing a family with cooking supplies, water filters, warm blankets and tools to help repair damaged homes.

Please consider supporting people affected by the earthquake.

Together, we can provide lifesaving shelter to those affected by disaster. Thank You.

The show committee have walked the grounds at Bridwell Park to plan this year’s layout for our show. Following feedback, we’re moving our traders’ pitches to surround the show ground and reorientated the stage area to create an entertainment hub with the food and bar area close to the action. The children’s entertainments will also be close by, so parents watching the bands can also keep an eye on the kids. We’re planning to have a few surprises up our sleeve too! As ever, we hope to welcome as many classic and vintage vehicle owners as possible. Now we are looking to finalise our sponsor packages and tickets are starting to sell. It’s amazing what a little sunshine can do! 😎

Uffculme Show and Country Fayre is on Sunday 31st August. Tickets, further details and trader and classic vehicle registration via our website uffculmeshow.org
