🎉 National Practitioner Day 🎉

To thank and celebrate the team we had croissants, juice and treats on Wednesday and have enjoyed sharing our shout outs throughout the week from our amazing parents/carers!

Thank you so much for the ‘shout outs’ they are all really appreciated and have been a wonderful boost for the team at the end of the week 😀

Being a nursery practitioner is hard work but is feels like the luckiest job too: being granted the pleasure of having your children attend our nursery and being able to work with you and see them grow is a gift that makes it worth it! 🌟

My amazing team - thank you - Gemma Y, Niamh, Gemma M, Abi, Katie, Rubi, Kirstie, Emma R, Bonnie, Franki, Elena, Tyla, Becky W, Immy, Emma A, Kerri, Jodie, Becca, Lucy, Annabelle, Becky 👩🏼‍🍳 Nat 🧽

Hot chocolate sensory play in the baby room

Our little ones have been busy creating their very own cups of hot chocolate using moonsand! They loved scooping up the chocolate scented flour and carefully adding fluffy cotton wool balls on top to represent marshmallows

This fun activity provided lots of opportunities to explore different textures, develop curiosity and engage in imaginative play as well as improving our fine motor skills and develop hand-eye coordination

✅ Last week we received our Green Eco School Flag and award!

As a setting we are striving to become more sustainable: we are working with the children to recycle, reuse and think about what we can do and change to have a positive affect on the environment and where we live.

Children have been turning taps off when they are not using them, switching lights off if not needed along with recycling plastic, card, paper and metal.

We have switched from plastic to glass milk bottles and we will continue to develop on this with the older children litter picking in the local area and thinking about how we can repurpose old items into new items over the coming months!

Any ideas please let us know below 🌱🌍🌳🍃
