🔥 We’re Visiting TIREE – Become an On-Call Firefighter! 🚒

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is looking for On-Call firefighters on the Island of Tiree - and we’re coming to you!

One of our Rural Watch Commanders will be on the island between 3rd and 11th April to meet anyone interested in joining the crew.

During the visit, you’ll have the chance to:
✅ Take part in a relaxed suitability discussion
✅ Try the fitness assessment
✅ Have a go at some practical selection tests
✅ Get plenty of support, guidance and advice throughout

Whether you’re just curious or ready to take the next step, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about becoming a volunteer firefighter and serving your community.

Today some of the Tiree crew headed to Oban to attend a BA Recovery course.

Tonight, the Emergency Services across Tiree came together to celebrate Crew Commander Margaret Worsley reaching an incredible 30 years of service with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Previous crew members of the Fire Station also attended to celebrate this achievement.

CC Worsley was presented with a gift from the crew on Tiree.

Unfortunately we have made the decision to CANCEL the Charity Car Wash for Saturday 4th October, we are hoping to hold this now on the 1st November.

Tiree Community Fire Station would like to give massive thank you to everyone who turned out for the Charity Car Wash in aid of The Firefighters Charity. The total raised was just over £900. A big thank you to Norma and Mags for doing the raffle for us and thank you to the crew for giving up their Saturday afternoon.
