🚒📟 MARCH & APRIL ROUNDUP 📟🚒

There wasn’t much to write about for March, however April has been relatively busy!

We went out the door 15 times over the last two months, with incidents attended being:

2 x Domestic Flooding
2 x Hazmat
2 x Fire in the Open
Residential Fire
Commercial Fire
Vehicle Fire
RTC

🚒📟 FEBRUARY ROUND UP 📟🚒

Just the one incident responded to in February, which was an Ambulance Assist, helping to move a casualty in need 🚑

In other station news, FF David Lloyd passed his Pre-Final Stage Review assessment evening this month so a huge congratulations to him! 🎉

A great morning with the Year 1 children from Torpoint Nursery and Infant School to go over everything they have learned about the great fire of London 🔥

🚒📟 JANUARY ROUNDUP 📟🚒

We responded to 7 incidents in January, with our first shout of the year just 48 minutes into 2026! Two of these shouts also happened yesterday so a busy end to the month for the crew!

The incidents included:

🔥 Fire in the open
🔥 Residential fire
🔔 AFA
🚘 RTC
☢️ Haz Mat
🚒 Stand by

As well as this, FF Simon Cooke joined the crew after he passed his Approved to Ride course. We also welcomed Torpoint Infant School to the station for a visit last week which was great fun!

🛑ANOTHER POLITE NOTICE🛑

Yet again the bins have been over filled and bags have been fly tipped across the grass and into the car park.

When the bins are full please find a different donation point or come back another time.

🧑‍🚒 New Firefighter Alert!

After months of training, and the last 6 full days at Bodmin Fire station, 8.3 would like to welcome Torpoint’s newest firefighter, FF Simon Cooke!

Well done and welcome to the crew 🔥

It didn’t take long for our first shout of 2026!

We were called to a fire in the open in Millbrook which turned out to be caused by poorly disposed of fireworks.

An important reminder to ensure fireworks are properly cooled and safe before throwing them away.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the area made safe 🚒
