More EVs now qualify for the Electric Car Grant.

Five models from Cupra, Volkswagen and Peugeot now qualify for major discounts as part of the scheme, taking the total number of models eligible so far to 22.

The scheme will provide discounts of up to £3,750 on brand-new eligible electric vehicles (EVs) priced under £37,000.

The discount will be automatically applied at the dealership, so there’s no additional paperwork for customers.

More eligible vehicles will be announced in the coming days and weeks.

We’re investing £650m in the new Electric Car Grant to help drivers across the country make the transition to electric vehicles (EVs).

We will offer grants of £3,750 and £1,500 off the purchase cost of eligible new EVs priced below £37,000.

The discount will be applied automatically at participating dealerships at the point of sale and could see drivers save up to £1,500 a year in running costs vs a petrol/diesel car.

We are committed to leading the global transition to zero emission transport, creating jobs, driving investment and putting money back in working people's pockets.
