Good news about the upcoming seminar 'Healing History: Break the Cycle of Personal Collective and Historical Trauma' with Dr Gary Reiss.

A peace organisation in the US is offering bursary support for this event (as well as others throughout the world). Therefore anyone who is interested will be able to come on a full or partial bursary, unless you are able to pay the full cost. No one should not be able to come for financial reasons.

If you have questions you can write to [email protected]. I am a trained and experienced processworker and so am able to give greater detail about the work. Gary is an experienced Process Oriented international conflict facilitator and teacher and this is a great opportunity to work and learning with him.

Here is a link to a registration form allowing discounted payment, and full or partial bursaries: https://forms.gle/ghQGgeVSidQWP42g8

This eventbrite gives more details about the workshop and it is also possible to register there (although this involves additional costs to eventbrite):

We would like to invite expressions of interest from child psychologists who are interested in the Apricot Centre approach. The Apricot Centre is an ofsted registered therapeutic/wellbeing service for children and families both in Devon and in East Anglia. In particular we are looking for a well suited professional in Devon, possibly based in the Exeter region able to work in mid-Devon. Our work is primarily with adopted and looked-after children, we have a multidisciplinary team, and we increasingly specialise in working with nature and nature experience in our therapeutic approach. We are based upon a Biodynamic Farm in Dartington Devon, and also work from other venues and ‘nature-bases’ in East Anglia. We would love to hear from psychologists who are interested in developing innovative approaches working with young people who have typically suffered ongoing trauma and losses in their lives, as well as attachment difficulties.

The Apricot Story

The Apricot Centre got it’s name from several apricot trees planted on the organic farm where it began. Mark and Marina have brought together our shared interests in therapeutic work with children and families together with sustainable farming and environmental work. The Wellbeing Service started and continues to run in East Anglia, and more recently, with the support of Bob Mehew (and the local community) we have taken on the 34 acres Huxhams Cross Farm in Devon where wellbeing services and local sustainable food productions go hand in hand. The Apricot Centre is a Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company.

Apricot Centre CIC offers mental health and wellbeing services and activities for children, young people and families in East Anglia (Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk) and South Devon (including Torbay). Most of our staff have CAMHS experience. We are CQC registered for services in East Anglia
