A huge thank you to all the volunteers from the River Centre who’ve helped at Parc Bryn Bach this year! 👏

They’ve worked incredibly hard helping to maintain the park’s grounds, including litter picking, coppicing, painting, creating insect habitats, dead hedging, creating willow tree guards plus supporting with general maintenance around and in the centre. 👍

⚠️ Important Lake User Update ⚠️

Following recent water quality testing, Parc Bryn Bach Lake is currently closed to all in-water and on-water activities until further notice.

The latest test results identified elevated levels of bacteria in two of the five testing areas. As a precaution, all water sports activities have been suspended while we continue to monitor the situation and await further testing next week.

The Model Boat Club and Fishing Club can continue to use the lake, subject to appropriate hygiene precautions. However, the Newfoundland Club and all other organised and Self Launch water-based activities are temporarily suspended.

We appreciate that this will be disappointing for many users. The safety of our visitors is our priority, and we are working closely with the relevant agencies to monitor the water quality. We will provide a further update as soon as the next round of test results is available.

Yn dilyn profion diweddar ar ansawdd y dŵr, mae Llyn Parc Bryn Bach wedi cau dros dro i bob gweithgaredd yn y dŵr ac ar y dŵr hyd nes y clywir yn wahanol.
Mae canlyniadau'r profion diweddaraf wedi nodi lefelau uwch na'r disgwyl o facteria mewn dau o'r pum lleoliad profi. Fel mesur rhagofalus, mae pob gweithgaredd chwaraeon dŵr wedi'i atal dros dro tra byddwn yn parhau i fonitro'r sefyllfa ac yn aros am ganlyniadau profion pellach yr wythnos nesaf.
Gall y Clwb Cychod Model a'r Clwb Pysgota barhau i ddefnyddio'r llyn, ar yr amod bod mesurau hylendid priodol yn cael eu dilyn. Fodd bynnag, mae'r Clwb Newfoundland a phob gweithgaredd trefnedig arall sy'n ymwneud â'r dŵr wedi'u hatal dros dro.

Paddlesports self-launch at Parc Bryn Bach is temporarily suspended due to the ongoing firefighting efforts in the area.

Planned activities on the lake will go ahead as normal, as these take place within in a designated area.

We will provide a further update as soon as we can on when self-launch will be open again, but if you’re planning a visit, please call ahead to check with us before travelling - 01495 369687 📲
