🌼 Hanging Basket Update 🌼

Unfortunately, this year’s village hanging baskets are delayed, and we know residents look forward to them each summer.

They cannot go up until stress testing has taken place on lamposts. This requirement was only communicated by RMBC in late April, just weeks before installation was due.

The Parish Council has had no choice but to pause the display while we wait for the necessary safety checks and permissions. Without them, there would be risks of enforcement action, removal costs and insurance issues.

We know this will be disappointing. The hanging baskets are a much-loved part of the village, and we share that frustration.

We’ll continue working with RMBC and update residents as soon as we can.
