Afternoon All,

UPDATE REGARDING WORKS AT THE FORMER TREORCHY HOTEL
As promised, Council Officers have visited the site, spoken both with workmen and the new owner.
The officer emphasised that both parties were very helpful and the site was being cleared in a professional and orderly manner.
We have recieved complaints that works were being carried out on Sunday. We are led to believe these works were being delivered independently by SWALEC and had nothing to do with the new owners.
The new owner has outlined his plans to open a Londis Supermarket at the location, and all relevant paperwork and applications, which includes a license to sell alcohol, have been submitted to the Council.
I trust this information is both helpful and informative.
However, if you have any further enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Afternoon All,
I have received a number of calls regarding the works currently being carried out at the former Treorchy Hotel.
Having spoken with the Councils Environmental Health Department, I can report that from a Council perspective there has been no applications for either change of use or alcohol license.
Therefore, I have requested Officers visit the site to identify what plans the new owners have, and make sure any development meets with Council approval and necessary applications are in place.
