On Saturday 11 April we will be carrying out large-scale training exercises within Telford Court, St Albans. These exercises are an essential part of ensuring our firefighters remain fully prepared to respond effectively to emergencies and to continue keeping our community safe.
You may notice an increased presence of fire service vehicles and personnel, as well as simulated emergency activity which includes the use of synthetic training smoke. Please be assured that this smoke is completely safe, controlled and used solely for training purposes. There is no cause for concern during this time.
Every effort will be made to minimize disruption to residents and local businesses however we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
All residents can use the home fire safety check on our website, which provides a personalised fire safety action plan for your home https://orlo.uk/5XwbU

❤️ We are Hertfordshire’s volunteer run and paramedic led lifesaving charity.

❤️ Why? Every Heart Matters

31/07/2025

❤️ We've installed lifesaving equipment at fire stations across the county after teaming up with local charity Hearts for Herts.

At an event at Hatfield Fire Station yesterday, we celebrated the donation of fourteen defibrillators and bleed kits, co-funded by our Public Health service and Hearts for Herts.

This equipment is crucial in emergencies, greatly improving survival rates from out of hospital cardiac arrests and managing severe bleeding until emergency services arrive.

This initiative is part of a wider community defibrillator and bleed kit project, reinforcing our commitment to equipping residents with the tools and knowledge to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations.
