At the turn of the last century, Tring could boast 20 pubs. Today, only seven of them are still trading. Tim Amsden (early CAMRA member) will be giving a talk on the history of these pubs and how the trends in brewing companies affected their existence. The talk will be held on Wednesday, 17 January at the Tring, High Street, Baptist Church starting at 8PM. Non-members asked for a donation; we suggest £4.

Autumn is a prime time to care for your garden including preparing your lawn for the upcoming winter season. 🌱🍁

As this season is the perfect time to maintain your lawn, we have a few tips to help.

🌱 Feed your lawn throughout the autumn months, as this will encourage root growth during the Winter, and strengthen your grass for the Spring.
🌱 Mow less, this helps your grass become more resilient as we enter the winter months.
🌱 Plant spring bulbs, doing this will add a pop of colour to the garden in the spring and benefit the wildlife and pollinators.
🌱 Keep your lawn clear of fallen leaves to prevent your grass from suffering underneath.
