Are you using reusable shopping bags safely?
Reusable bags are great for the environment, but they can carry bacteria from raw foods if you’re not careful.
Here’s how to keep your food safe:
Keep raw foods in separate bags and don’t reuse those bags for ready to eat items. Even if a bag looks clean, raw meat juices can remain.
Use dedicated bags for raw foods, label or colour code them so you don’t mix them up.
Keep cleaning products separate from all food when packing.
Clean reusable bags regularly. Wash fabric bags on a hot setting and replace plastic bags if they become damaged or contaminated.
Check bags after each use for spills, especially raw meat juices.
A few simple habits help keep bacteria from spreading and keep your food safe from store to kitchen.

“Don’t worry, my dog is friendly!” 🐾

We hear this a lot—but did you know many reported dog incidents involve off-lead dogs approaching dogs that are on a lead?

Not every dog wants to say hello, and it’s always the owner’s responsibility to make sure any interaction is welcome. In many cases, the dog that gets injured is actually the one that approached first, while off lead, leaving others to step in to regain control.

Even the friendliest dogs can be considered out of control if they approach without permission.

✅ Always keep your dog under control
✅ Ask before allowing them to approach other dogs or people
✅ Respect that not all dogs (or people!) want interaction

Working in hot temperatures.
