Job Opportunity: Male Companionship Carer for 50-Year-Old Male:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Male Companionship Carer for a 50-year-old male client with a brain injury. Knowledge and previous experience with brain injury and dementia are highly beneficial. A valid driving license is essential, and a car will be provided.

Position Details:

- Schedule 4 hours a day, 7 days a week (flexible)
- Total Hours 29 hours per week
- Pay Rate £13 per hour

Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Companionship Carer is to provide support during the live-in carer's breaks. The client is very active, and the job involves accompanying him to various activities, including:

- Visits to coffee shops
- Walks
- Cinema outings
- Gym sessions (he has a personal trainer)
- Driving to art classes and osteopath treatments

Client’s Condition:

The client has a brain injury resulting in an inability to speak; he communicates by writing on his phone and attempting to articulate some words. He also has paralysis on his left side but can walk with the help of an FES machine and a walking stick.

Requirements:

- Experience in managing brain injuries and challenging behavior
- An active lifestyle
- Patience, professionalism, and good communication skills
- Proactive attitude
- Proficiency in spoken English

The carer will work directly for the family, ensuring personalised and dedicated care.
