A Trowbridge drug dealer who attempted to flush co***ne and he**in down a toilet during a warrant has been jailed.

Christopher Mounty, 43, of Lamplighters Walk, was arrested back in April following a drugs warrant in Yerbury Street, Trowbridge.

Mounty was found inside the property in possession of 27 grams of co***ne, 2.5grams of crack co***ne and 55 grams of he**in. He made attempts to flush the drugs down the toilet but officers were able to retrieve these before they disappeared.

He was later charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and remanded in custody after pleading guilty. On August 24, he appeared at Swindon Crown Court and was sentenced to five years and seven months imprisonment.

PC Oliver Dury from the Neighbourhood Tasking Team, said: “The sentencing of Mounty sends a clear message that drug dealing will not be tolerated in our communities. The supply of Class A drugs causes significant harm, not only to those who use them, but to local residents who are affected by the anti-social behaviour, violence and exploitation that is often associated with drug supply.

"Our Neighbourhood Tasking Team and Neighbourhood Policing Teams work tirelessly to disrupt the supply of illegal drugs, identify those responsible and put them before the courts. We are committed to protecting our communities from the misery that drugs can cause and will continue to target those who seek to profit from the vulnerability of others.

"I’d also like to remind residents of the importance of community intelligence. Information provided by members of the public helps us build a clearer picture of criminal activity in our neighbourhoods and enables us to take positive action. We would encourage anyone with concerns about drug dealing in their area to report it to us, as even the smallest piece of information can make a significant difference.”

They have also stolen a Bath rugby shirt which was framed on the wall.

On the same night along the same road at Raydown Leaze, multiple bits of rubble and rocks have been thrown over the fence, damaging multiple caravans.

We have arrested a man on suspicion of numerous offences following an investigation into indecent exposures in Southwick.

The 22-year-old, who is from Trowbridge, has been arrested on suspicion of seven counts of exposure, three counts of acts of outraging public decency and three counts of voyeurism.

He remains in custody for questioning.

The arrest was made after the suspect was spotted by a member of the public yesterday evening (20/08) who subsequently flagged down officers on patrol in the area.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Charly Chilton said: “We appreciate the significant amount of concern and distress that these incidents have caused in the area.

“We have been conducting regular patrols in the community over the past few weeks and we’re pleased to say that following another incident yesterday, local officers on patrols were flagged down by a member of the public and the suspect was arrested.

“This type of offence is taken incredibly seriously and we encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed such behaviour to contact us."

A 52-year-old man from Bradford on Avon has been jailed for sexually assaulting, strangling and hitting a woman in her home.

Swindon Crown Court sentenced Braham Aissaoui, a UK national, to three years and nine months custody for the offences of intentional strangulation, assault by beating and sexual assault.

The court was told that the offences took place between 26th and 30th March this year.

Aissaoui was initially remanded in prison due to the severity of the offences and the risk he posed to the victim.

On the 3rd of August 2026 he was sentenced for the offences after pleading guilty.

At the sentencing the judge also imposed a seven year restraining order, preventing Aissaoui from contacting his victim.

OIC LCI Ange Dowsett said: “I would like to highlight the resilience and bravery of the victim in this case in reporting these offences.
“Tackling violence against women and girls in our communities is a force priority. We take all such reports extremely seriously - they will be robustly investigated and perpetrators of this violence will be brought before the courts.”

We are appealing for witnesses following a domestic-related assault in Hilperton yesterday evening (31/07).

Between 7.30pm and 9.40pm, an altercation has occurred between a man and a woman on the cycle path/walkway that connects Moyle Park to Parsonage Road, and near to the grass area behind Moyle Park and Paxcroft Community Centre.

The male is described as wearing a cap, t-shirt and black shorts, and had tattoos, and the female was tall and slim build with brunette hair and had a black bag.

We believe there to have been witnesses to the incident who we haven’t spoken with yet.

If you can help, please email PC Beaven at [email protected] quoting reference 54260092896.
