Hello 👋🏻
With lots of new faces joining us recently, I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly & shared a little bit more about the story behind Petals & Puddles.
I’m Tors 👋🏻 a qualified teacher specialising in Pre-School & Early Years & someone who has always had a huge love for working with little ones 👏🏻
After teaching, travelling, managing The Hidden Hut & then becoming a mum myself, the idea of working with children again never really left my mind 💭
I missed the creativity.
I missed the imagination.
I missed the joy of watching little ones explore, discover & just be.
And then came the idea of creating a space that wasn’t just about the children… but somewhere parents & carers could slow down too. Somewhere safe, secure, welcoming & with a little bit of magic 💫
A huge part of the inspiration came from my Granny, Jane, who was an incredible woman & a huge believer in giving children opportunities, but also creating spaces that felt like a “family” - I know she would have been right behind this idea ❤️
Then came the mood boards, the planning, the building, the many conversations, the help from friends & family… & eventually (in just 4 months!) Petals & Puddles came to life 🍄
And now, here we are 🙌🏻
Four weeks of little hands, big imaginations, happy families & watching this little dream become a real place for children to play, imagine & grow.
