Today we held our first ever “Trewithen Volunteer Alumni “ event. We invited back past and present volunteers for a meet up, walk around the cut flower area, brief tour of the garden and its newest feature (more news to follow on that) and tea with DaBara pastries. Brilliant afternoon. I’m so proud of this group of people they came here and offered their time and effort to help us in the garden. Some have gone on to become head gardeners, set up their own tree nursery, run their own businesses, work here as our florist. others just enjoyed their time in the garden. Each and everyone of you a huge thank from all at Trewithen. Let’s make this an annual event! See you all next year.

Morning with me on is the unusual looking Fascicularia bicolor with its rosette of green, fading to red leaves with the dense central cluster of sky blue trumpet like flowers. Loves good drainage so does well on the wall of the ha-ha.
