Morning with me on is the beautiful Stewartia sinensis. Everything about this tree is stunning! The single white camellia-like flowers, the cinnamon peeling bark, the “elephants leg”wrinkled but smooth trunk (never stroked an elephant’s leg or trunk but like to think this is what it’s like?) the form and structure of the tree to its placement within the lawns and perspective to the house. Love love love it. Easily one of my favourite Theaceae with single white flowers in June on a tree…….

Dracunculus vulgaris (Dragon lily) is in flower and smelling….. well just smelling like rotten rubber! 😳 (my advice would be to turn off “smell-o-vision” for this one! It’s a bit gross!🤢) but looks lush 😎
