Morning with me on is the stunning Schima wallichi var. khasiana one of our “Champion trees” (height of 20m/65 ish feet). In the Theaceae so related to Camellia. Lush dark green, glossy, evergreen leaves which gives off “tropical foliage” vibes. Large, creamy white, Camellia like sweetly scented “fried egg” like flowers. Unusual in the fact that branches have this years beautiful flowers with last years seed pods and occasionally even the previous years pods all at the same time! (Take a close look at photo 4).
Easily one of my favourite early autumn, creamy-white-scented, fried egg-like flowering, with last years seed pods, tropical foliage, evergreen trees…..
