What a wonderful summer we have had here at Stayathome! ☀️💙

New team members have joined our ever-growing family, more people have been supported with reablement care to stay where they feel happiest- at home, and along the way, friendships have formed, laughter has been shared and so many memories have been made.

There have been good days, tough days, busy days and very hot days (those heatwaves were A LOT! 🥵😂) but through it all, our incredible team have continued to show up, support one another and make a real difference to the people we support.

We’re so proud of everything our Stayathome team has achieved this summer. 💙

⭐ Entry Level: £13.50 - £17.50 per hour

The actor, writer and comedian will co-host the Proud to Care Awards on 11 September, helping us celebrate some of the remarkable people behind Cornwall’s adult social care.

This year, we received a record-breaking 1,200 nominations! Each one recognising the valued impact of Cornwall’s adult social care workforce.

Now we’re preparing to give our finalists the celebration they deserve, with Sally helping us make it a night to remember.

Wow, what an incredible induction week! 🎉

We welcomed a full house of amazing people joining the team and loved hearing about their experiences, what they can bring to Stayathome, and watching new friendships form along the way.

The training was interactive, fun, and inspiring, and we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the trainers who took part and helped make the week such a success.

Next week, they are out in the field, and we just know they are all going to be great. We can't wait to see you put everything you've learned into practice and make a fantastic start.

Yesterday, the Emma duo headed to Launceston for a day of interviews and what a brilliant, positive day it was! 💙

They met some fantastic candidates who showed real drive, enthusiasm and passion for becoming Reablement Healthcare Assistants. They loved hearing about their experiences and why they want to be part of the Stayathome team. 🏡✨

Reablement Healthcare Assistant (20-Hour Contract)

Looking for extra hours and additional income?

Stayathome is seeking compassionate and experienced Reablement Healthcare Assistants to join our Stayathome Taskforce Team, providing support to people in their own homes across Cornwall.

This is a 20-hour evening and weekend contract, ideal for experienced care professionals looking for additional hours and extra income.

Please note: We do not offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Reablement Healthcare Assistant, you'll support individuals to regain and maintain their independence following illness, injury, or a change in circumstances. Working within people's own homes, you'll provide person-centred support that enables them to achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Essential Requirements

✅ Previous experience in care and/or reablement services

✅ Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

✅ Fluent English communication skills

✅ Passion for supporting people to live independently

✅ Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently

✅ Willingness to travel across Cornwall as required

🐹✨ Welcome to our newest additions at St Erme! ✨🐹

We've welcomed some adorable guinea pigs to the team, and they're already stealing hearts! A huge thank you to Maria, Sophie and Jess, who are taking such wonderful care of them.

Their beautiful hutches are built ready for their new home in our sensory garden, where they'll become part of our animal therapy experience for both our Day Services guests and residents.

We can't wait to share more updates as everything comes together. Until then... just look at how cute they are! ❤️🐹
