7am start £4 a pitch to sell no entry fee for buyers no dogs please as it is a children's and sports field

And that's a wrap.
Car boot season 2026 is complete.

It's been a good season with only one cancelled due to the weather. Lots of new faces and so many of our loyal, regular supporters.
Thank you to each and everyone of you that support us.

All money raised goes to the parish council who in turn use it for the upkeep of our wonderful facilities at the playing field but it is much more than money. It is for the community. A place to go, a place to meet and a place to catch up.

However, we couldn't do this without our super team of helpers who give their time.

A massive thank you to Jan, Kate, Steve, Lorraine, Jemma and Nick for all your time and energy this year.

Just like that, we've reached the end of another season.

Sunday will be the last car boot sale for 2026 and sadly we will be saying goodbye to Jemma as she awaits the birth of her 2nd child in December.
Jemma has helped at the boot sales for 4 years on road management, car parking and serving in the cafe, although has a long history of involvement from birth.
Her firm but fair organisation of the lollipop on the road, cheery hello and efficient running of the cafe orders and her ability to know most of the customers names will be greatly missed.

On behalf of us all, I'd like to say a big thank you and good luck Jemma.

Another busy boot sale this morning with 44 sellers and lots of buyers.

Massive thank you to our helpers as always, as well as Steve, who very kindly offered to help out following our earlier post explaining we were a man down.
Boot sales cannot run without volunteers so we are very grateful.

Thanks also to a gentleman who found and handed in a mobile phone. Luckily it has been returned to the owner who is very grateful and would like to pass on his thanks.

Next boot sale is in 3 weeks time, yes you read it correctly, 3 WEEKS time, on Sunday 6th sept.

I will leave you with a photo of our youngest helper. You’ve got to start them young! 😆

**LOST**

Yesterday at the car boot sale a small bright pink purse was lost.
Did anyone find it?
