From today, 1 May, new rules under the Rentersโ€™ Rights Act are now in place.

Tenants will start to see important changes around:

How a tenancy can be ended
The correct way rent increases must be issued
Limits on how much rent can be requested in advance
A clearer process for requesting a pet

If you rent your home, make sure youโ€™re aware of whatโ€™s changed and how it affects you.
