Anyone carrying out gas work for you must be Gas Safe registered. If they’re not, they’re working illegally. Cutting corners to save money is not worth it; it can put lives at risk and could cost more to fix.

Check your engineer is Gas Safe at GasSafeRegister.co.uk

Today, we pause to remember the firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11.

We stand with our colleagues across the world.

🚒🎉 What a turnout! 🎉🚒

Yesterday's Family Afternoon at Turriff Fire Station was a tremendous success, and we'd like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event.

It was fantastic to see so many local families enjoying the activities, meeting the crew, and getting a closer look at the fire appliance. Community events like these are so important in helping us engage with the people we serve, share valuable safety messages, and inspire the next generation of firefighters.

A massive thank you to all the crew members, volunteers, and supporters who worked hard behind the scenes to make the afternoon such a memorable event.

We're incredibly proud to be part of such a supportive community.

🚒❤️ Thank you, Turriff!

🚒🔥 Breathing Apparatus Training Night in Turriff 🔥🚒

Tonight, Turriffs firefighters carried out a Breathing Apparatus (BA) training exercise at the new Turriff Sports Pavilion at The Haughs.

Breathing Apparatus is one of the most vital skills we train in. Entering smoke-filled and hazardous environments is one of the most challenging and dangerous aspects of the firefighting role, and regular, realistic training ensures our crews remain safe, confident and prepared to protect our community when called upon. 💨👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

A huge thank you to Turriff Sports Centre for kindly allowing us to use the building for tonight's exercise. 🤝🏢 Support like this demonstrates the fantastic community spirit that exists in Turriff, helping local organisations work together for the benefit of everyone.

📣 Could you be the next firefighter in Turriff?

We are still actively recruiting for our on-call (retained) firefighter team. If you're motivated, enjoy teamwork, want to learn new skills and make a real difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.
✅ Work alongside your current employment
✅ Full training provided
✅ Earn while you serve your community
✅ Be part of an incredible team

If you've ever thought about becoming a firefighter, now is the time to take the next step. Get in touch with us or visit the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service recruitment pages for more information - https://www.firescotland.gov.uk/careers/on-call-firefighter/
