Today we highlight Uckfield & Area Community First Responders.

Uckfield Community First Responders are dedicated volunteers from the local Uckfield community, trained by the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) to respond swiftly to 999 emergency calls.

Mobilised by the ambulance control teams, they operate within the community, allowing them to reach the scene of a medical emergency in a matter of minutes, sometimes while the caller is still on the phone.

Their presence in the community enables them to provide critical support right where it’s needed most.
