George used to enjoy painting but had somewhat lost his mojo and hadn't done any for a long time after his art class finished. His daughter bought him a kit to build and paint some Viking boats, so we've been busy getting stuck in with these over the past week or so. Think he's definitely got his mojo back 😄🖌️🎨⛵

It's that time of year again...🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅
This week George and I went on a trip out to stock up on bird feed and bought our tomato seeds. Today we planted the first of the seeds. Let's hope for a bumper crop 🤞🏻🪏🌞

This weekend is the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 🐦 🕊️ 🐦‍⬛🪶George and I cheated a little as he is away this week so we did it last Friday instead. It was still a fair spotting of the birds we usually see in his garden so we thought it wouldn't hurt to do this. I've just submitted our results online 😁. We saw lots more than last year when it was super windy and we only saw 1 or 2 birds 🙈. We were lucky enough to spot the resident Robin this year, though he was unfortunately too quick for me to get a photo! Such a fun thing to do and great for people of all ages and abilities ☺️🐦‍⬛🐦

I'm struggling to believe that's another year over- they just go faster and faster😳! I've just had a look through my photos from the past year so I've added some here as they're some wonderful memories 🥰And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of my clients, their families and everyone who has followed and supported me this year❤️. I am so fortunate to be in a position to do a job I love with the most lovely people on a daily basis 🥰. It is obviously not without it's downsides, most notably losing people that I have become very close with💔. But it's extremely rewarding knowing I have been able to help support them, gained their trust and friendship and, hopefully, made their lives a little bit brighter. 🥧 Two weeks ago my client, Bill, asked if we could go to Greens pie shop in Barrow for a couple of meat and potato. Unfortunately we got there to find them closed due to having sold out of pies!😩. We tried again the following week only to have missed them again😭. So this week I decided to head over early before visiting Bill to make sure there were some left. Think I got there just in time as the shelves were pretty empty 🤣. As they are clearly so popular I got some for myself and my partner to try too and I can confirm they are delish 😋. Bill was made up and was having them for his tea 🥧😄🥧

Brrr it's been freezing today🥶. In order to keep warm I took John out for fish and chips to the Seabreeze Fish Bar . Added bonus for him was sitting right next to the radiator 😂

🎃👻 George has been getting in the spooky spirit by trying a 'coffin cake'⚰️at Stoller's cafe. It was huge and unfortunately it was left to me to help him finish it, what a chore 🤪😋🤣Happy Halloween everyone 🎃👻🦇

Today we lost a very special lady after a short period of ill health 💔. Edwena had been my client for the past 3 & 1/2 years and we had weekly (sometimes more frequently) trips out together. Edwena's favourites were fish and chips and ice cream (as clearly demonstrated in the pics🤣) but she was also very partial to cappuccinos and ready salted crisps (regularly exclaiming "It's the salt I love!"🤣)! She was a very kind lady; dedicated to her family and loads of fun. I'm going to miss her and our outings together hugely but will always remember her and her beautiful smile with much love💕. Rest easy, Edwena 🥰❤️

Today was a very special day, for George turned the grand old age of 87 🥳🎈🎉🍰I'm sure we can all agree on how well he is looking for his age 😄. I took him out for lunch to Hole19 Golf at Barrow gold club and he thoroughly enjoyed himself ❤️. I did too. Beautiful views, delicious food and wonderful company 🥰Happy birthday, George 🎉🥳
