โจ Did you know Shared Lives offers three different types of support? โจ
๐ก Day Support
Support is agreed between the person being supported and their Shared Lives Carer. This could be as simple as popping round for a โ cuppa, getting support to attend an appointment ๐
, or accessing activities in the local community ๐ณ.
๐ Respite Support
Respite provides a short stay in a Shared Lives Carer's home for an agreed period of time. During their stay, the person being supported may choose to relax ๐๏ธ, enjoy new experiences, or access their community with support ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐จ.
โค๏ธ Long-Term Placements
A long-term placement is where a person lives with their Shared Lives Carer on an ongoing basis, becoming part of a supportive family environment. This can help people achieve greater independence and stability, including those transitioning from foster care to adult services ๐ฑ๐ .
Shared Lives is all about creating meaningful relationships, promoting independence, and helping people live the life they choose. ๐
