What a gorgeous morning we are having here in the Scottish Borders. It’s cold and misty. This week I am going to be making some leather hand stitched key rings. They are wonderfully tactile and a lovely size to fit in the palm of your hand. They are £5 each plus postage. Let me know if you would like to order any. Enjoy your day xx

Half Price Clearance.
Hello everyone It’s officially scarf weather and I have reduced my remaining shawl cuffs to half price. The cuffs are made from a gorgeous selection of veg tanned leathers. Great for keeping a shawl, scarf or cowl in place without piercing the fabric. Perfect for knitters, weavers, crocheters and everyone who loves a scarf.

Hello everyone. thanks for stopping by. I am so excited to share with you my latest Christmas stocking. Isn’t it so so festive. I have chosen a wonderfully traditional palette of reds, greens and whites. Sewing together lots and lots of tiny cotton patches , quilting them with a super soft cotton wadding and cotton lining. So no exposed seams. The hanging loop is a generous size too. Now all I need to do is find it a fireplace of its very own. Would anyone like it?
Christmas stocking is made with Moda and Andover quilting cotton fabrics, Hobbs wadding and Aurifil cotton thread. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone.

I have some odds and ends of fabric from making so many of my lavender pillows and so not to waste them I have some wee pocket lavender pillows available. £6 each plus postage . I might have another wee rummage and see what other off cuts I have they are just so sweet.

Woolly Wednesday
I’ve been adding to my wool felted and hand embroidered lavender pillows. Such unique treats for someone special. They smell amazing and last for ages.

I made a Christmas stocking and now all I want is for it to be Christmas. such a magical time of the year .
The smell of a pine tree, a log burner and Christmas puddings. stockings hung in anticipation. just wonderful.
This stocking is patchwork quilted with a full lining and hanging loop. it’s ready to be part of your traditions. can I tempt anyone?

I’m in a bit of a slump with the business. It will pass. It has given me the opportunity to get on with my next quilt and today I have managed to complete the top. Now to spend an evening shopping for backing fabric, wadding and quilting thread. I think it’s going to be an expensive evening. This design has been inspired by the Fat Bear Week. I have used a Bear Paw block with some sashing and cornerstones then the borders. Hope you like it.
