Our brilliant 9.5 bakers have been busy creating trays of delicious brownies for Lowry’s Charity Day.
They’ll be on sale tomorrow at break from the Hatch, priced at £1 per slice, with all proceeds going directly to the chosen charity.
A sweet treat for a great cause.

Our Go for Growth students have smashed it!
Over the past six weeks, they’ve taken part in the Go for Growth Mentoring Programme with Greater Manchester Higher, building confidence, routines and goals for the future.

To celebrate completing the programme, students headed to Manchester Metropolitan University for a campus tour, a look back at their progress and a brilliant talk on higher education pathways.

A fantastic achievement and a big step towards their future ambitions. Well done to all involved.

We're launching a World Cup Food & Drink Challenge with 10 different challenges to choose from. You only need to complete one challenge to enter, but please take part in as many as they can.

You may even want to complete a challenge together during form time. For example, one challenge is to try a new food from a World Cup country. You could bring in a food for your form to sample together and discuss. Many supermarkets now have excellent World Food aisles, making it easier than ever to explore foods from around the world.

Huge congratulations to Brady in Year 10, who picked up an incredible FOUR trophies at his football club awards.
He was recognised for his talent, attitude and the example he sets every time he plays.

🏆 John Twist Award – awarded for achieving the most Man of the Match performances across the season
🏆 Managers’ Player – for consistently showing the attitude, commitment and drive every coach wants

CCF cadets had an action‑packed field day at Waterside Lodge, Southport!
From tackling a disaster‑relief shipwreck scenario to building a children’s play area and a communication tower, our boys showed teamwork, leadership and creativity.

In the afternoon, strong winds meant no sailing but that didn’t stop the fun. Cadets took to the water and learned to drive three different powerboats: a rigiflex, a RIB and a cabin boat.

A brilliant day of new skills, confidence and adventure.
