There's Always So Much to See and Do at Usk Show!
Saturday 12th September 2026
A visit to Usk Show promises a full day of entertainment, attractions, and activities for all ages.
Throughout the morning, visitors can browse the many stalls and trade stands, explore the livestock areas as animals are prepared for exhibition, and watch the judging competitions. From 9:00am, the Main Ring hosts judging for the Retraining of Racehorses Amateur Ridden Series Qualifier, alongside the elegant Side Saddle classes.
The Countryside Ring comes alive from 10:30am with a variety of exciting demonstrations. Returning favourites include Black Mountain Falconry, who will once again present their popular afternoon horseback falconry display. Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations from Rowan Working Horses, Usk Valley Working Gundogs, Amazing Alpacas, and Woolaston Bassetts. In addition, the Massey Ferguson Owners Club and local vintage tractor enthusiasts will be showcasing their impressive machinery.
Our headline Main Ring attraction for 2026 is the spectacular Shetland Pony Grand National. The Main Ring programme will also feature a display from our local heroes at South Wales Fire & Rescue Service (operational commitments permitting), the Grand Parade of Livestock and Horses, and many more attractions throughout the day.
Children can enjoy plenty of free activities with the return of Junkfish. Their dedicated marquee offers a fantastic range of creative "make and take" activities, all completely free of charge. Outdoor fun will also be available, including their ever-popular Junk Ball Run.
Whether you're interested in agriculture, horses, countryside pursuits, machinery, shopping, or family entertainment, there's something for everyone at Usk Show.
