Before appearing at The Romford Film Festival this weekend, British Horror Studio's British Indie Horror Artist of the Year Ayvianna Snow visited Codsall Library before heading off to meet a reading group of aspiring actors and writers.

Ayvianna spoke honestly of her work in films as both an actor (e.g. the award winning Irish film Lola) and a producer, and also of her key role within Equity (Chair of Equity London North) and as Director of the New Actors Centre.

A lifelong fan of ghost stories and short fiction, her recommendation for is The Signalman by Charles Dickens and A Vendetta (une Vendetta) by Guy de Maupassant.

I couldn't resist snapping a photo of the Weeping Bank Library noticeboard when I came in to work this morning.

Yes, you read it right - our next 3 eerie readings are already sold out.

And even at the end of June is already half gone.

We've just heard the amazing news that Stoke-on-Trent Libraries have started displaying the Weeping Bank Library Challenge as part of the .

Pictured here is a display in Library (Stoke-on-Trent Libraries), one of the smaller locations in .

We're delighted to be working with the library service for the first time and it looks like our event in the lecture theatre at Longton Library is going to be our biggest one yet. 91 tickets sold - just 9 more to go for a full house! Just incredible.

A huge thank you to Amy and the Stoke-on-Trent Libraries team.

We're sure this is going to be the start of a beautiful, but chilling, collaboration.
