We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer, we are looking forward to welcoming all our students for another academic year with us!
The past two inset days, our staff have been getting everything ready for our students to start back with us tomorrow - Thursday 3rd September.

🕣Gates open by 8:30am.
Please ensure all students wear the correct school uniform and be fully equipped with school equipment to be ready to learn.

📚Timetables will be issued during form time on Thursday.

Meet the Governors! 😊

Hi, I am Mrs Barber - Governor link to Safeguarding
I work as a State Registered Podiatrist, previously for the NHS but now in private practice. We treat all sorts of conditions related to the lower limb from sports injuries to infection and minor surgery.

In my spare time I love walking in the hills (anywhere!). I also enjoy keeping fit and watching my son play cricket 🥾🏏

Fun Fact - I once sat in a bath of cold baked beans, in the middle of a shopping centre in Leicester, for a whole day to raise money for charity!🫘

The question you may ask is why am I a governor? I am the safeguarding governor at TAHS. I have always taken an interest in my children's education and feel very privileged to be involved in this supporting role as a governor.

Hi, I am Mr Prescott - Governor link to Teaching and Learning Outcomes
I am a Music Teacher of 48 years with 20 years as a Headteacher. I continue to teach music and work on school improvement programmes with schools across Staffordshire.

In my spare time I run a large community choir, going to concerts and a big fan of watching all types of sport 🎤⚽

Fun Fact - I have taken part in nearly 50 Murder Mystery charity fund raising evenings. I also love wearing ties and have over 120! 👔

The question you may ask is why am I a governor? I like to help to make a difference to the life chances for all pupils in the Uttoxeter area.

Remember last year a group of our students went to Peru and worked at a school with Camps International project work 🏫
Here is a little recap for you in the first 5 photos on what projects they started in their time there!

We have had a fantastic update showing the progress that has been made on the projects they started. This year another school has been and continued the work and look how brilliant the school looks now after two schools have dedicated their time to help 😊

We wonder what exciting projects await us in Tanzania 2027 with our next group! 😄

Mental Health Support over the Summer Holidays 😎

We wanted to remind parents, carers and students that support is still available if you need it.
Our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) accepts self-referrals, meaning young people or parents/carers can get in touch directly without going through school.
MHST can support with concerns such as anxiety or low mood, worries around friendships, school or home and emotional wellbeing and coping strategies.
