Lots of magical salt dough mobiles made during our children's craft event on Wednesday!🌞 All of them went home with their very clever makers to dry and then be strung together. We'd love to see some of the finished mobiles! ✨

🔥 Wildfire Warning – Please Help Protect Our Countryside
We’re sharing this important message from Ventnor Town Council as the current hot, dry weather has created a significant wildfire risk across our area.
With vegetation now tinder dry, even a single spark from a barbecue, cigarette, garden fire pit or discarded litter could start a serious fire, putting wildlife, homes, communities and our beautiful countryside at risk.
If you’re out enjoying the sunshine, please help protect Bonchurch and the surrounding area by:
• Leave barbecues at home and pack a picnic instead.
• Fully extinguish ci******es and dispose of them responsibly.
• Take all litter home or use the bins provided.
• Don’t light campfires in the countryside.
Thank you to Ventnor Town Council for raising awareness of this important issue. Please take a moment to read and share their advice.

The Summer Reading Challenge this year has a musical theme so we're joining in the fun with a Decorate a Musical Instrument craft event here at the library on Saturday 15th August 10.30-11.30! 🎶🪘🪇🪕🎺😀

Have your children signed up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge yet? Read to the Beat is the annual summer reading challenge from The Reading Agency where children get stickers and rewards for reading over the . It's completely free to join and take part and is running now until 5 September at Ventnor Library. Pop in and get your children signed up and check out all of the great activities taking place at the library this summer.
