Good morning, we’ve made it to Wednesday!

One team was out in Bournemouth last night. No reported incidents, just a nice, quiet night.

The team again reported lots of positives from all the people they saw. It’s always great to hear that the evening was a positive one.

Public correction and apology: Paul Brelsford

Safeguard Community Support wishes to publicly correct and apologise for comments made about Paul Brelsford from our official Facebook account on 10 July 2026.

The comments were inappropriate and should not have been made. Following a formal investigation, SCS established that there was no factual basis whatsoever for them.

We recognise that, in the context in which the comments were made, they were capable of being interpreted as implying unlawful or otherwise inappropriate conduct by Mr Brelsford. No such allegation was supported by any information or evidence held by SCS, and any such implication is fully and unequivocally withdrawn.

We sincerely and unreservedly apologise to Mr Brelsford for the comments made from our account.

The matter has been addressed internally and additional controls have been introduced around the use and oversight of SCS social-media accounts.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday!

Last night we had one team out in Bournemouth. It was a surprisingly quiet night, especially for a bank holiday.

We saw some lovely people while out on patrol. The only issue that presented was some children on a roof, which was reported to us again by local residents. Thankfully, the young people had left by the time we arrived.

Another quiet evening for our team, but we’ll be back out again tonight, keeping an eye on the community and offering support where we can.

Good morning! It’s Monday, but it’s a Bank Holiday!

Last night started with some extremely wet and windy weather as the team headed out on patrol in Bournemouth. Thankfully, the weather soon settled, allowing us to get on with the evening.

One team out tonight in Bournemouth.

The evening was a great example of why community support is so important. Sometimes, simply being present can help de-escalate a situation.

The team came across a group of men involved in an argument. We approached, and the situation soon calmed down, with the group dispersing.

We also met a man fishing alone on the lower part of the pier. With the weather conditions deteriorating, he was happy to take our advice, pack up and leave.

Later, three people on pedal bikes collided on the slippery surface in the square. Thankfully, everyone was okay, but the team approached to check whether they needed any assistance or first aid.

The team also witnessed a verbal altercation where the safest and most appropriate course of action was to observe from a safe distance. The person involved eventually walked away, and we were thanked simply for being there.

Another evening of supporting our community, offering reassurance and helping where we can.

Sometimes, just being there can make all the difference.

Good morning and happy Saturday.

Here is a little extra recap from Wednesday.

One of our teams was out in Wareham, while the other was covering central Bournemouth.

It was a quieter evening for the Bournemouth team, although support was requested by some residents near Westover Road, so the team attended and provided assistance.

It’s always great to know that our teams are there when members of the community need a little extra support.

How did last night’s patrol go?

Our team was out in central Bournemouth, covering a big area again.

As we have said previously the team do over 10,000 steps every patrol.

It was quiet, no issues which was great.

The nights seem to be definitely drawing in now! It’s dark so much earlier.

Wareham Wednesdays!!

You may remember that we attended the Wareham Wednesday event last week. It went so well that we were delighted to be invited back again last night!

It’s a really great event — community-focused, welcoming and extremely well organised. Our team were made to feel so welcome, and we received lots of positive feedback about the work we do and the support we provide within our community.

The team thoroughly enjoyed themselves while also being there to offer support, chat to people and help raise awareness of what Safeguard Community Support is all about.

We’re so grateful to have been given the opportunity to attend again and to be part of such a fantastic community event.
