Polzeath

Hi All

I'm a local in the Polzeath area who has been working on the following Phone APP ( with fellow developers at a Newquay based company www.flowmo.co )

MY COAST APP - Which is a 'know before you go ' app aimed at Beach safety. We've recently added many more beaches around Cornwall and it now covers Polzeath.

I think there's something on here for everyone, but especially handy for holidaymakers that aren't as beach savvy.
For example, it'll warn them if the offshore winds are really strong if they want to Stand Up Paddle Board, when Lifeguards are on duty , when you can walk your dog on the beach etc. That sort of thing.

Very disappointing to see this again. A few very selfish individuals spoiling Polzeath for the many. This rubbish is not only dangerous for the environment is also dangerous to other beach users. Please be vigilant, please take your rubbish home with you. Don't trash the beach. Thank you Polzeath Marine Conservation Group and Centre for clearing this mess up

The Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust have a crowdfunder to try and raise some much needed funds to be able to continue their work.
Our local grey seals are a globally rare species and not only do they do some great work that helps protect our seals but also gives us an insight into the health of our marine environment all round. Please help them if you can.

Be warned. Polzeath toilets are closed due to Covid-19. The beach carpark is closed due to soft sand, the amount of vehicles getting stuck and the lack of social distancing that was possible for people assisting to push vehicles. There is also no lifeguard service and sea conditions are predicted to be dangerous. Stay safe.
