Starting Reception is a big step – and your little one will be trying lots of new things every day! 🌟

Helping them practise at home can make all the difference, boosting their confidence and helping them feel happy and settled at school.

A simple way to do this? Try exploring new foods together – especially healthy snacks like fruit! 🍎🍌

If getting your child to try fruit feels like a challenge, come along to our next Stay & Play session where we’ll enjoy a healthy snack. Seeing other children try new things (and being in a fun, different environment) can really help encourage them to have a go too!

Wakefield Armed Forces Day returns on Saturday 4 July!

Come along to Pontefract Park from 10am-4:30pm for a free, family-friendly event honouring serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces alongside the broader services of military personnel.

There will be a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, military stalls and displays, veterans parade, free-fall parachute display, arena entertainment, market, community stalls, street food & bar and funfair rides!

Ahead of Father’s Day this weekend, we wanted to tell you about Dads’ Club 💙

Being a dad is one of the most important jobs there is — but it isn’t always easy. After all, children don’t come with a manual!

We know just how special dads are and the incredible bond they share with their children.

But it’s important to take time for yourself too — and that’s exactly what Dads’ Club is for.

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month — a relaxed space to unwind, chat, and connect with other dads.
