Over 100 people in attendance! Nearly 90 exploring careers! Countless conversations about making a difference!

This week we had our Children and Young People Recruitment Event, with nearly 90 attendees coming along to explore the wide range of careers available across our services.

The event brought together colleagues from across Wakefield Council to showcase opportunities that make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and families every day.

From social work and residential care to business support and specialist roles, visitors had the chance to speak directly with staff, learn about career pathways and find out what it's like to work in our services.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the teams who helped make the event possible. We're passionate about attracting talented, committed people who share our ambition to give every child and young person in Wakefield the best possible start in life.
