💚 Bradford community learns lifesaving skills💚

Over 30 community members attended a CPR and defibrillator awareness session JTI Hilton Road Masjid in Bradford.

The session was delivered by Jo from the Community Resilience team, with support from Ripaljeet Kaur, Community Engagement and Resilience Officer, and was delivered in both English and Panjabi so everyone could take part and understand the key messages.

There were lots of positive conversations, with people asking questions and learning what to do in an emergency, how CPR can help, and how to use a defibrillator safely.

Feedback after the session was really encouraging, with many people saying it helped them feel more confident and better prepared to help someone in an emergency.

YAS Charity is proud to support our Community Engagement and Community Resilience teams and the fantastic work they do in our communities.🤩

The team is now hoping to build on this work and organise a women-only session at the mosque.

A huge thank you to Jo, Ripaljeet and everyone involved in helping more people feel confident to step in and potentially save a life.🙏 🌟
