🌿 Get involved this Volunteers' Week!

St George's Community Centre has added their latest volunteering taster activity to Citizen Coin. You can get signed up and lend a hand in a really friendly, supportive space.

Join their Garden Action Day on Friday 5th June from 9:30am–12:30pm for a hands‑on morning supporting a much‑loved community green space. You’ll also earn two Citizen Coins for taking part.

You’ll be getting stuck into:
🪴 Doing some weeding
🪴 Clearing the garden
🪴 Decorating the raised beds
🪴 Sowing seeds
🪴 Moving plants
🪴 And enjoying breakfast butties!

A brilliant way to try volunteering, meet new people and support your local area during Volunteers’ Week.

☀️ Make the most of the sunshine by taking part in summer planting with Friends of Pontefract Park 🌿

Help brighten up Pontefract Park by volunteering to help plant 1,500 summer bedding plants in the park’s flower beds. It’s a great way to support your local green space and get involved in your community.

The flower beds and planters have been cleared ready for the summer planting. Thank you for the help of the team from Sodexo who joined us for a corporate volunteering session yesterday.
