Yesterday, Minister Hung, Vietnam’s Agriculture and Environment Minister, and I signed a new agreement between our two countries. This will deepen cooperation on agriculture, climate resilience and biodiversity.

There’s also good news for British farmers and food producers: Vietnam has approved 13 UK pork and poultry establishments to export their products.

This will open up new opportunities for British businesses, support growth in our food and farming sectors and strengthen trade between the UK and Vietnam.

No child should grow up in a hostel.

No family should wait ten years for a home.

That is why Labour is investing nearly £10 billion to build genuinely affordable homes where they’re needed most.

A new parkrun at Vale Park is on its way to Wirral! 🎉

Our Active Wellbeing team has secured funding, mapped out the route, and is now looking for volunteers to help bring this fantastic community event to life.

To make the parkrun a reality, volunteers are needed between 8.30am-10.30am every Saturday. A core team is required to help organise and run the event.

Parkrun volunteers play a vital role in ensuring events take place safely and smoothly, with more than 40,000 giving up their time around the world every week.

Post Office Limited Services in Wallasey Village announced.

Dear Customer,
We are pleased to let you know that in collaboration with Payzone, we will be opening a new Post Office
service in your area at Snr News, 71 Wallasey Village, Wallasey, Wirral, CH44 2DQ commencing on
Wednesday 16 September 2026 at 13:00.
The service will be one of our Drop & Collect branches, which is one of our lighter, flexible branch formats
developed to take advantage of the opportunities a vibrant, and increasingly competitive, parcels market offers.
The new Drop & Collect at Snr News, will offer Post Office services from a handheld device, providing
convenient access for customers to bill payments and prepaid parcel collections and returns. To maximise
accessibility to these services that our customers are increasingly seeking, more complex services like personal
and business banking will not be available at this branch.
Details of the opening hours and the products and services available are provided overleaf. If there are any
unforeseen circumstances which mean the opening date changes, posters will be displayed in store to let
customers know.
A wider range of Post Office services are available from the nearby branches at Wallasey Road Post Office,
194 Wallasey Road, Wallasey, CH44 2AG and Wallasey Post Office, 12 Liscard Village, Wallasey, CH45 4JW.
The latest available branch information can be found on our website, www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder

More social and affordable homes

🏠 Labour is building the homes our communities need.

Mayor Steve Rotheram has welcomed £380 million of investment from the government for the Liverpool City Region, helping to deliver more than 3,100 new council, social and affordable homes.

This means secure, genuinely affordable homes for more local families and a brighter future for the next generation.

🌹 Labour delivering for Wirral and our whole city region.
