💙🖤 Comets Make Club History 🖤💙

Today was a very special day for our Pan Disability Comets team sponsored by Ideal Fostering as they played their very first matches together.

Coming up against established teams could have been intimidating, but every single player stepped onto the pitch with courage, determination and a huge smile. The effort, teamwork and attitude on display were absolutely outstanding, and they represented Cottage Farm Rangers with pride from start to finish.

What mattered most was seeing this fantastic group enjoy their football, support one another and show everyone exactly what the Comets programme is all about.

As a club, we couldn't be prouder of this incredible team and all they have achieved. This is just the beginning of their journey, and we are honoured to support them every step of the way.

A huge well done to all of the players, coaches, volunteers and families who made today possible.

The future is bright for the CFRFC Comets. 💙🖤⚽

Sometimes children and young people need to step away and have some time alone. This can be their way of feeling safe, calming their emotions or regaining a sense of control when things feel overwhelming. Giving a child space doesn’t mean disconnecting from them. By staying emotionally available, checking in later and noticing patterns around when they withdraw, we can help them feel understood, respected and secure. 💜 Sometimes the most supportive message we can give is simply: “I’m here when you’re ready.” Wishing all our children, young people and foster families a calm and connected week ahead. 🌿💜

💛 Foster Carer & Back-Up Carer Listening Circle – This July

Fostering can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also bring challenging moments that are difficult to manage alone.

Our Listening Circle provides a welcoming and supportive space for foster carers and back-up carers to meet with others, share experiences and reflect on the day-to-day realities of fostering.

Members of our Therapeutic Support Team will be available to offer guidance, encouragement and practical therapeutic support.
