Calling all Community Groups....!

David Frost CBE DL will be delivering a dedicated information session and overview of the King's Award for Voluntary Service on Wednesday 16 September, from 5.15pm to 6.15pm, at Manor Farm Community Association.

The session will include explaining the eligibility criteria and nomination process. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insight into applying for this prestigious national award, often referred to as the MBE for voluntary groups.

A caller claiming to be from the Council? Stop and check. 🚨

Residents are being warned about a telephone scam involving someone falsely claiming to represent Walsall Council.

We recently received reports of a caller claiming they needed to arrange an energy efficiency visit and threatening the resident with a £1,000 fine if they refused.

Walsall Council would not make calls of this nature or threaten residents with a fine over the telephone.

☎️ If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and verify it using an official contact number.

Do not provide personal or financial information to unexpected callers.

Report similar calls to Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 0808 223 1133.
