Behind every child is a unique story.

At Fostering Connections, we believe fostering is about so much more than providing a safe and loving home. It’s about building relationships, creating understanding, and walking alongside children and families through every step of their journey.

For foster children, we focus on creating safe, nurturing environments where they can feel secure, understood, and able to thrive.
We work closely with our foster carers to ensure children receive the patience, compassion, and consistency they deserve.

For birth children, we recognise the important role they play too. We engage with them, listen to their feelings, and help them understand the fostering journey, ensuring they have space to ask questions and access support when they need it.

For foster families, we’re there every step of the way... with dedicated social work support, regular visits, high-quality training, out-of-hours assistance, and a community that understands.

At Fostering Connections, we believe that children and young people should have a voice in the things that affect them.

Our recent questionnaire gave our foster and birth children the opportunity to tell us what they enjoy, what matters to them, and what they would like to see us do in the future.

For us, feedback isn't about simply ticking boxes. It's about genuinely listening, responding and making our children and families feel part of the planning process.

Through our therapeutic approach and compassionate support, we work alongside our foster families to help children feel safe, understood, connected, and hopeful for the future.

Their answers have already sparked some wonderful conversations with their carers – and given us some fantastic ideas!
Because when we listen to children, we learn from them. And when we plan together, everyone has a voice.

Our recent questionnaire to our foster and birth children gave us an insight into what they like and some great ideas for future planning.
This sparked conversations from their carers, too.

We value the feedback from our families.
We don't want to tick boxes....we want our families to feel part of the planning process.

Together, by combining therapeutic parenting with compassionate support, we help children feel safe, understood, connected, and hopeful for the future.

We love our days out with our foster families... it was great to chat with them and find out how they are.

It was a chance for families to meet and share.
Our children filled in our questionnaire... it's so important to get young people's ideas and include them in the agency's decision-making.

There’s no such thing as being “too old” to make a difference.
This wonderful feedback from a local authority highlights exactly what we see every day at Fostering Connections... our foster carers are extraordinary people who bring love, patience, stability, and life experience to the children in their care.

Our carers come from all different backgrounds and stages of life.
Some have years of experience, while others are taking their first steps into fostering. What matters most isn’t your age... it’s your willingness to provide a child with a safe, nurturing, and loving home. 🏡

As this feedback so beautifully says, a child who entered care feeling scared and confused can, with the right care and support, become calmer, more settled, and start to enjoy life again.
And that’s what makes our carers so special.

At Fostering Connections, we believe fostering is about so much more than providing a safe and loving home. It’s about creating experiences, building relationships, and helping children feel that they truly belong.

Our Paddington adventure is a wonderful example of how we engage with our foster children, birth children, and foster families.
Days like this give everyone the opportunity to spend quality time together, have fun, make special memories, and strengthen the connections within our fostering community. 🧸

From watching the eclipse to counting shooting stars, it’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, make memories, and create moments that children can look back on for years to come.

We’re a therapeutic fostering agency, and we’re here to support our carers every step of the way — from the very beginning of their fostering journey and throughout their time with us.
