Bishops Stortford RFC got a new sponsor in GTM Rural Enterprises Ltd this year and better than that, a new little lad full of beans joining the miniā€™s ā€“ my nephew Oscar.

I canā€™t wait to see him running out onto the first-team pitch one day, with his uncleā€™s company proudly displayed around the pitch.

For now, though, the minis are a pretty good place to start! šŸ‰ Bishop's Stortford Rugby Club

Rugby runs deep in the GTM DNA. Tim, Fraser, Luca, Tommy and Jack have all played, or still play, the game, and weā€™re proud to sponsor Jack at Old Albanian RFC Old Albanian RFC

The values rugby builds - teamwork, resilience, commitment and getting stuck in are exactly the values we look for at GTM.

Weā€™re excited to support Bishopā€™s Stortford Rugby Club this season and be part of the local rugby community.

šŸ‰ Fancy joining the GTM team?

If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team and arenā€™t afraid of hard work, weā€™d love to hear from you.

šŸšœ Be honestā€¦

How many times have you watched Clarksonā€™s Farm and thoughtā€¦

ā€œIā€™d love to give that a go.ā€

Working outdoors isnā€™t always sunshine and sunsets, and machines donā€™t operate themselves.

It takes early mornings, hard work and people who arenā€™t afraid to get stuck in.

But if you love being outside, enjoy machinery and want a job where no two days are the sameā€¦

šŸŒ± This could be for you.

šŸŒæ Progress Update: Lee Valley Cut & Clear (LVRPA) Programme šŸŒæ

Our annual LVRPA Cut & Clear programme is well underway, having started in June, and weā€™re on track to complete the works in October.

This work is about much more than simply cutting back vegetation. By cutting and removing the arisings, we take a significant amount of nutrients away from the site. Reducing nutrient levels over time helps prevent aggressive species from dominating, reducing the risk of dense monocultures and creating the conditions for a richer variety of wildflowers and native plants to flourish.

The programme is also carefully staggered throughout the season, rather than cutting everything at once. This phased approach leaves areas of habitat available for insects and other wildlife, providing food, shelter and refuge while the surrounding areas regenerate. Itā€™s a practical way of balancing essential habitat management with the needs of the species that rely on these grasslands.

These long-term management practices help create healthier, more diverse habitats that support pollinators, birds and countless other species, contributing to a more resilient landscape across the Lee Valley.

Weā€™re proud to be delivering work that not only maintains these important green spaces but actively improves them for nature.
