Making Waves: A Centenary of Weybridge Ladies Amateur Rowing Club 🚣‍♀️🛶

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Weybridge Ladies Rowing Club! In partnership with Elmbridge Museum, Walton Library is hosting this inspiring talk to celebrate. The session will explore Amy Gentry's remarkable achievements, her pioneering impact on women’s rowing, and the enduring legacy she left at WLARC.

We do have air conditioning at Walton Library so if you are out and about and need to cool down, please come inside.

With a Red Heat alert in place for Friday 26 June the guidance is to stay out of the sun. However if you do need to go out, make sure you carry water, apply sunscreen, wear a hat and loose light-coloured clothes.
