Naze Tower

Two off our Kestrel babies left the nesting box Naze Tower yesterday, the other three are getting ready to take the leap ! If you are up the Naze keep an eye out for them and dogs on leads near the Tower as they are learning to fly. They are just over a month old, nervous times for the parents and us ! Last chance to see or buy artwork by these talented East Anglian artists Peter Partner, Julie Orpen, Lorraine George Glenda Wakeman who all feature in the Spring Exhibition Naze Tower. The show finishes this Sunday 14th, make the most of the better weather this weekend and have a lovely walk around the Naze and a trip up the tower to take it all in and be rewarded with the stunning views of coastal Essex and Suffolk from the top. Come along and visit our Spring Exhibition, on until 14th June. Encounter work in a range of media by 20 talented East Anglian artists as you climb the tower including Julie Orpen who is drawn to the movement of wildlife brilliantly captured in her detailed linoprints, Lorraine George whose joyous paintings capture the natural world, Peter Partner who creates paintings of our coastline featuring dramatic skies and ceramicist Ruth Rawlings who makes fun characterful sculptures of animals and people. As well as art offers spectacular views from the top, plenty of history including a museum and a cafe serving tasty refreshments set in the attractive surrounds of the Naze Heritage Park - great for a walk and some fresh coastal air.

Our kestrel pair are back and we already have 5 eggs in the nest box. Thanks to Paul Mynors for the stunning photo, the eggs and Mum sitting tight photos by us -from tv screen on 3rd floor in tower courtesy of camera kindly supplied by . Dad has been busy bringing in dinner and warding off Crows in aerial combat - lots of drama and more to come once they hatch!

The Naze Tower re-opens its doors for the 2026 season on Friday 27th March ready for the Easter Holiday and we will be open every day 10am to 5pm until the 1st November.

Make the most of this historic landmark - bring your family and friends along for a lovely day out at the Naze. Take in the spectacular views of coastal Essex and Suffolk that can be enjoyed from the top of the Tower and hidden inside there is also a museum about the Naze, an art gallery and a cafe with seating inside and out serving freshly prepared food and drinks from our Shepherds hut outside the Tower. This dramatic painting of the Naze is by Peter Partner and features in the Spring Show alongside work by over 15 East Anglian artists.

Just over one week left to visit the Autumn Exhibition and the Naze Tower this year! Where has the time gone ? Pop along before it is too late to catch the show, take in the museum and breathtaking views from the top. Finished off with delicious coffee and freshly prepared food from our cafe! Open everyday 10-5 until the end of 1/2 term on Sun 2nd Nov.
