Did you know we hold sessions for home educating families once a month? Next Tuesday we'll be going down to the seashore to explore the beach and pools and see what creatures we can find. Back at the centre, we'll have a closer look at our finds and discover how animals are adapted for life on the beach. Can't make this one? Next month we'll be looking out for super seals and learning all about food chains and webs. For more information and booking see the link in the comments.

An introduction to local fossils and guided fossil hunt on the beach

This Saturday the 22nd August local area and bird expert Gerald Rayner will be hosting a guided walk to Stone Point.

The walk will start at 13:30 and finish around 16:30 Gerald will guid you and talk about the area and what wildlife you see.

This is a great walk for any bird enthusiasts and for anyone who would like to venture to Stone Point with a guid rather than on their own.

Binoculars are advisable.

This Friday we have a few spaces left on our birds of prey experience. Learn all about different birds of prey and see them fly over your head. This is a very popular event and receives great feed back.

Join local artist Ian Noble this Saturday for a 'Printmaking Workshop' There are two sessions available which last 2 hours and you can book onto either session or both. At 10:30-12:30 you will focus on 'Intaglio' and at 13:30-15:30 you will focus on 'Linocut'. We will be using sea creatures as our inspiration for our artworks.
