Ware Town Council have secured banking facilities in Ware...

📰🚨🙌BREAKING NEWS…Cash Access UK officially opened a temporary banking hub yesterday (4th June) at Ware Drill Hall. This interim home will ensure that Ware gets immediate access to cash and banking facilities until they move into a more permanent location.

😀 At Ware Town Council we’re so pleased about this news as we have been campaigning for a banking hub in the town since the last high street bank closed in 2020. We gained the support of industry experts, lobbied the Treasury, explored a range of banking alternatives and used evidence from our Community Banking study in 2022 to support the campaign.

📣Our Town Clerk, Terry Philpott said, “We are delighted that a project Ware Town Council initiated has come to fruition. We recognise the importance of access to banking and fully support the availability of this service to our community.”

Hadham Mill is (as of 9am Sunday morning) still releasing sewage overflow after last night's rain, polluting the River Ash (brown line). There was also a 6 hour release (exclamation mark symbol) further along at Widford in the night.

📰NEW BANKING HUB FOR WARE📰 Good news confirmed this morning! It is expected that the service will operate as a shared hub with both personal and business customers gaining easy access to face-to-face cash and banking from their usual banking provider.
Ware Town Council have campaigned for this in our town since before the last high street bank closed. We gained the support of industry experts, lobbied the Treasury, explored a range of banking alternatives and used evidence from the Community Banking study we commissioned last year to support our appeal.
