National Highways: A36 Norton Bavan
We are writing to let you know about essential work to install high-friction surfacing following on from our resurfacing scheme, which was completed last year on the A36 between Norton Bavant and Upton Lovell. This maintenance will improve the road surface and help ensure safer, more reliable journeys for the thousands of drivers who use this route every day.
When it's happening
We'll be working from 1st to 3rd June 2026 and will be working overnight to minimise disruption during busy periods. This will mean the A36 between Cotley Hill roundabout and Upton Lovell will be closed each night from 8pm to 6am. We've planned clear diversion routes using the A303, A350, and local roads; these will be clearly signposted.
