We know drug dealing can happen in plain sight, but the harm it causes is often hidden. It can lead to the exploitation of vulnerable people, including children, and fuel violence between rival gangs.

Across the South West, children as young as 8 are being forced to carry and sell drugs far away from their homes.

We are appealing for information regarding an incident in Warminster.

At approximately 3.30am on August 21, a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted in Woodcock Road, Warminster.

A man in his 20s from Trowbridge has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has since been released on conditional bail whilst further enquiries are carried out.

We believe a passer-by offered assistance following the incident and may have witnessed what happened.

Warminster Neighbourhood Officers PCSO Revers and PCSO Holcombe were out and about today conducting two community drop-in sessions using our Mobile Police Station.

Our first stop was at the Lake Pleasure Grounds skate park, where we supported The ATB Shop during their skate event. As well as giving local residents the opportunity to meet their neighbourhood officers and discuss any concerns, we were on hand to provide crime prevention advice and offer our bike stamping service.

We then moved on to our second location outside Warminster Library, where we continued engaging with members of the community and listening to local issues and concerns.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us today. These conversations are invaluable and help us better understand the needs of our community, shaping our priorities and informing our neighbourhood policing approach.

🤝 Farewell to PC Rideout 0437 🤝

Today (10/08/2026) marks PC Rideout's last day serving the Warminster community.

PC Rideout has dedicated many years of service to Wiltshire Police, working in a variety of roles and locations across the county, including as a Neighbourhood Officer in Devizes before joining the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team.

During his time in Warminster, he has made a significant and positive impact on the community, working tirelessly to support local residents, address community concerns and build strong relationships with those he served. His commitment and dedication have made a real difference, and his efforts have been greatly appreciated by both colleagues and members of the public.

While he will be greatly missed, we would like to thank him for his years of service and wish him all the very best for the future and the next chapter of his journey.

👏 Good luck, PC Rideout, and thank you for everything you have done for the communities of Wiltshire.
