The Nepal Cup, first presented in 1948 by His Royal Highness Maharaja Mohan Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, remains one of the Brigade of Gurkhas’ most prestigious sporting competitions, bringing together units across the Brigade to promote teamwork, camaraderie, and cohesion.
This year, GCT competed against GSPS in the group stage before facing the Gurkha Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (GARRC) in the quarter-final at RMAS Sandhurst.
Throughout the tournament, the GCT team displayed outstanding determination, resilience, and teamwork. Although the results did not go in their favour, the players remained disciplined, committed, and positive, reflecting the professionalism and values of the Brigade of Gurkhas. The Nepal Cup once again provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships across the Brigade and develop teamwork through competitive sport. GCT’s performance was a credit to the unit, its supporters, and all those involved.
Well done to all players, coaches, and supporters for representing GCT with pride.
